After church, temple vandalized in Agra


Agra: Recovering from the heinous attack on St. Mary’s Church Agra was again jolted after a 50 year old temple was vandalized on Tuesday.
According to Agra senior superintendent of police, Rajesh D Modak, the incident took place in early hours of morning in the Caravan gali of Syedpara area in Lohamandi police station area, where a 50-year-old temple was attacked by two-three unknown youth, who slipped into the temple unnoticed and stole the silver tiara and other valuable ornaments of Goddess Durga and Parvati, damaging the statues, including the Shiv Ling in the process.

Angry people soon started to gather in the area after the incident was reported. Sensing an imminent escalation of situation police deployed heavily in the area. Tension prevails in the area after the incident.
