Mumbai:Salman’s latest release ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ gets the nod of the Censor Board with a ‘U/A’ certificate. It is said to have gone through 5 cuts before being cleared for release, reports suggest. On being tipped by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) took all preventive measures so as to avoid any controversy later, as the film is presumably based on a sensitive subject.
The MHA wanted the CBFC to make sure no portion of the film violated the provisions under the Cinematograph Act, 1952, while reviewing the film. The CBFC roped in two Muslim members on board a committee comprising of 5 more members to review the film to ensure that it clears the certification process with proper cuts. The film is slated to release in this Eid.
