Adhir Ranjan Choudhury Blames SP


Kolkata: Congress parliamentarian Adhir Ranjan Choudhury has held the Superintendent of Police, responsible for the death of the CPM-worker, in Domkal, on Thursday.

Tahidul Islam, a CPM worker was shot dead infront of polling booth no. 178 at Shiropara in Domkal during clashes between CPM and TMC men on Thursday.

Adhir Ranjan Choudhury said that the SP is responsible for the Domkal incident. There must be a link between the TMC and the Police Super. He has even pointed out that the team of Central Police force deployed in that area was removed on Wednesday night. A new team from the BSF and CRPF was posted. The area was unknown to the new team. As a result, they have been a complete failure.

The SP has already filed a report to the EC where he mentions that the the political identity of Tahidur Islam is unknown. He did not succumb to his injuries due to bomb blasts. He died because of the use of sharp weapons. The incident took place about 500 meters away from the polling booth.
