Berhampore: Transport minister Suvendu Adhikari lashed out at Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury saying that the Congress party is responsible for the rise of the BJP party in Murshidabad. He was addressing a meeting organised by district’s Naoda block TMC.
The meeting saw the presence of district observer Suvendu Adhikari, State Minister for Labor Zakir Hossain, district president Subrata Saha, District Council’s president Mosharraf Hossain, MLA Niyamat Sheikh, Abu Taher Khan, Sohrab Hossain, Amirul Islam, Mainul Hasan and others.
Suvendu Adhikari said, “Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called for finishing BJP. The meeting at the Brigade on 19th January 2019 must be done properly keeping this aim in mind. Following such instructions, the meeting at the Brigade is being arranged. The people are now in favour of development.”
Lashing out at Adhir, Suvendu said, “Adhir has not done a single development here. Development is not just building few lights, roads from the MP’s development funds. For that, Panchayat is more than enough. Those who wants to oust BJP, will have to come to TMC. Adhir is trying to take forward BJP in Murshidabad at night. The BJP has set up panchayat at Beldanga Mahula area with the support of Adhir Chowdhury. Adhir Chowdhury had lunch and a meeting with Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.”
According to Suvendu, “Humayun Kabir is a follower of Adhir. By first sending Humayun to BJP, Adhir is making his way. The BJP government at the Centre has not given anything to our common people. They were supposed to give 15 lakh rupees. But nothing was given. They promised to give 2 crore jobs every year, but that was also a lie. More than 1500 jawans were martyred during the tenure of this government.”
Suvendu also said, “On one hand, Congress MLA Mousam Benzir Noor from Malda said that to stop BJP, they must join hands with the TMC. But Adhir is doing only one work from the morning till night and that is to speak ill about TMC and to oppose Mamata Banerjee. BJP will not be able to win against Mamata Banerjee in terms of development competition. In future, TMC will win the three seats of Murshidabad in the Lok Sabha elections. Yogi Adityanath’s friend Adhir will lose by 50,000 votes.”
