Kolkata: In the battle of president-ship of West Bengal Youth Congress, Rohan Mitra, son of State Pradesh Congress head Somen Mitra has been defeated by Shadab Khan who is known for its intimacy with former Bengal Congress President Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

So the political concerns are saying that, in the indirect battle, it is a ‘defeat’ of Somen Mitra to Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury. The elected youth wing president Shadab Khan has won the election in a difference of two thousands votes.

Though the battle was among the young people of Congress but somehow it has involved the name of two heavyweight and old Congress pillar of Bengal. A section of people was thinking that Rohan was convinced to contest the position as only he is the son of Somen Mitra. Off the record, people were sure that the win is just a wait of time.

Part of Bengal Congress has said that Shadab Khan has campaigned for the elections keeping the connection of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury after submitting the nomination.

The elected president of Congress, Shadab Khan has said that, “It was a internal fight of party. We will be together in fighting any issue in future.” Extending his statement, he said that, Somen Mitra was equally supportive in this fight like Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.”

The fight between the present and the former never came in public after so many turmoil inside. The election was organised following a certain structure. But still the behind story is more in demand than what is visible in public.
