Adhir Chowdhury Demands President’s Rule In West Bengal


Kolkata: Criticising the act of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on holding dharna, former Bengal Pradesh Congress president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has demanded president’s rule in West Bengal.

Talking to the media, Chowdhury said that “Now IPC 356 must be imposed in Bengal.” Earlier on Sunday Mamata expressed he support Rajeev Kumar in Twitter.

A CBI officials team on Sunday suddenly visited Kolkata CP Rajeev Kumar residence at Loudon Street where they were hindered by Kolkata Police. In a manhandling situation, they took the CBI officials to Shakespeare Sarani police station.

Mamata Banerjee rushed to the spot soon the incident sparked tension. State Security Advisor Surajit Kar Purakayastha and DG Virendra. After helding a meeting, Mamata Banerjee said that “It’s a time of constitutional crisis and announced to go for dharna at Metro Channel.

Backdroping the violence in West Bengal Panchayat Election where TMC received most uncontested win, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that, “Why didn’t she hold a dharna at that time. Now she is scared of losing her power. in this way she is asking for support. Apex Court has ordered probe using CBI and Narendra Modi. Presence of Surajit Kar Purakayastha at Mamata’s dharna manch has erupted many opinion and different direction to the chaos.
