Kolkata: A local court on Thursday granted bail to the techie arrested for allegedly threatening trinamool MP Sudip Bannerjee.
Police on Wednesday arrested a youth for allegedly threatening Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Banerjee over phone.
The accused identified as Dipanjan Mitra, a web designer by profession has been nabbed by officers from Taltala police station from his home in Kolkata’s Kasba area.
Dipanjan allegedly sent SMS to Banerjee threatening to kill him yesterday. West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee has asked the police department to nab the culprit as soon as possible.
