Abhishek Banerjee Takes Charge Of Aamdanga

Kolkata: Taking charge of Aamdanga, national president of All India Trinamool Youth
Congress Abhishek Banerjee said, “I am taking charge of Aamdanga. Will come again
if needed.” Speaking at the peace rally organised at Aamdanga, he said that
everyone must remember that just the way people are beside Trinamool, the party is
also beside the people.

Clashes broke out at Aamdanga over the set-up of Taraberia village panchayat board,
leading to the death of three political workers. Two out of them were TMC workers
whereas the other deceased was a CPM worker. After this incident, Manas Das, the
officer-in-charge of Aamdanga police station, was removed. Post this, the police
did a major search operation and arrested 10 people along with bombs.

Abhishek Banerjee walked for 2 kilometers in the peace rally. While walking at the
rally, he said that Saptami began in Aamdanga on Thursday, and the oppositions will
be immersed on Dashami. He further added that those who lost limbs will get their
body parts replaced.

According to Abhishek, “Presently, the CM of this state is not Jyoti Basu, Biman
Bose or Buddhadeb Bhattacharya. It is Bengal’s Mamata Banerjee. Hence no one can
escape by creating trouble in Aamdanga. The district authorities have already taken
proper steps to return peace in the area.”

The rally was also attended by North 24 Pargana TMC president and food minister for
state Jyotipriya Mullick, Barrackpore’s MP Dinesh Tribedi, Vidhan Sabha chief
