London: Augsburg's Abdul Rahman Baba has officially joined Premier League club Chelsea on a four-year contract. The deal is worth a reported fee of 25 million euros (27.7 million dollars). "I thank all those responsible, coaches and fans of Augsburg for their support last year," Baba Rahman told Augsburg's club website. "The chance to play at a top club in England makes it a simple choice, even if I actually planned on a long-term stay in Augsburg a year ago. I felt very comfortable at the club and will continue to follow them in the future."
The club's have agreed to not reveal the exact transfer fee for the Ghanaian international. Augsburg paid around 2 million euros (2.2 million dollars) to acquire Baba Rahman from Greuther Fürth in 2014.
