Abdul Mannan To Visit Delhi on PAC Row


Kolkata: Congress MLA Manas Bhunia is at the centre of an ongoing infighting in the Congress party in West Bengal. He has drawn the ire of the partymen and put the high command in a spot by accepting his appointment as the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in spite of a strong opposition from his own party.

After PAC chairman Manas Bhunia visit to Delhi, Leader of Opposition and Congress veteran Abdul Mannan will decide to go Delhi and will meet CP Joshi and Rahul Gandhi over PAC row, Abdul Mannan said on Monday. Abdul Mannan said that he wants to clear the matter as soon as possible.

Manas Bhunia, who was issued a showcause notice by state party chief Adhir Chowdhury for not quitting as PAC chairman of the state Assembly after that he left for New Delhi to meet party president Sonia Gandhi and vice-president Rahul Gandhi to explain to them his stand on the issue.
