‘Missile Man’ Abdul Kalam passes away in Shillong


According the the quint.com, former President APJ Abdul Kalam has passed away in Shillong. The statement was confirmed by The Quint. He felt ill while delivering a lecture at IIM in Shillong. Dr John Sailo, CEO, Bethany Hospital, Shillong claimed to The Quint over the phone that Dr Kalam was brought dead to the hospital.

Speaking to The Quint, David Sailo, Managing Director of Bethany Hospital said that Kalam was critical and the physians declared him dead when he was brought to the hospital. According to the hospital sources, he was declared dead at 7.45 pm due to cardiac arrest. Meghalaya Police also confirmed the news.  Dr APJ Abdul Kalam was 84.
