AAP receives IT notice

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party has received a notice over the donation issue from the Income Tax department. They have said that the party is ready to face any investigation. According to AAP Spokesperson Atishi Marlena, the notice was sent to the Patel Nagar office of the Party by the Income Tax department.

She said, “We are open for any probe by the Income Tax department or the Enforcement Directorate. We want this issue to be probed so that this allegation can be put to rest. But while welcoming the probe, we also want an SIT to probe political funding of all political parties and not just AAP.”

The allegations were made by AAP’s breakaway group AVAM. They alleged that AAP had fundings from fraud companies last year in March. The IT department has found that four companies from whom the party received its donations are not genuine. AAP has been asked to Produce its book of documents or accounts before the IT officials.
