AAP MLA arrested for beating up Government officials


New Delhi: AAP MLA Surinder Singh was arrested on Friday evening by Delhi Police for allegedly beating and Manhandling a worker of the New Delhi Municipal Council following which senior AAP leader Ashutosh came down heavily on the Central Government for the arrested and criticized them for inaction in the Delhi’s CNG fitness and arrest a ‘Patriot’ like Surinder Singh who faced the bullets of the terrorists during the 26/11 attacks.

Surinder Singh, an ex-NSG commando and a MLA from Delhi Cantt, alleged that on August 4, he was going to his residence and at Tughlaq road area in Delhi when he saw a few persons were beating up a street-vendor and demanding bribe from him.

He had alleged that on seeing the incident, he stopped there and inquired about it after which he came to know that those persons were NDMC officials.

On the other hand Delhi Police said that Singh and his companions had allegedly beaten up NDMC officials who were on a routine check of encroachment in Tughlaq Road area on August 4. A FIR was lodged against Singh and his companions following which the arrests were made.
