AAP MLA Alka Lamba attacked

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party MLA Alka Lamba was allegedly attacked by unidentified miscreants during an anti-narcotics drive on Sunday. The incident took place in Kashmere Gate area of North Delhi. One person have been detained in the incident by Police who are conducting an enquiry into the incident.  

She was attacked with stones and was rushed to Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital and she was reported to be out of danger.

According to Deputy Commissioner of Police Madhur Verma, the suspect who attacked Lamba has been identified as Jatin (23). He said, “The suspect works at the sweet shop. He has been booked under IPC Section 323 (voluntarily causing hurt).”

Following the  incident, AAP leader Ashutosh tweeted that the sweet shop from which Jatin was arrested belongs to BJP MLA from Viswas Nagar Om Prakash Sharma. He later clarified that he demanded it to be cleared whether the incident was a coincidence or a conspiracy.
