New Delhi: The Aam Aadmi party has alleged that Delhi Police had tried to mow down its leader Dilip Pandey who is also Delhi Chief of the AAP. An AAP delegation will also be meeting Delhi Lt. Governor Najeeb Jung in this regard. It has been alleged that a bus of Delhi Police tried to run him over in front of Rajinder Nagar police station when he was speaking to media persons.
According to Pandey, the incident took place at around 10.30 pm when he was talking to the media over police action on the AAP voluteers at Anand Parbat on Tuesday.
Pandey said, “Since there were women volunteers who were detained, I went to the police station so that they could be released. At around 10.30pm while I was talking to the media outside Rajinder Nagar station, a Delhi police bus tried to run over me but one volunteer pushed me aside.”
Reacting to the allegation made by Pandey, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi said that he had never heard of such a thing in his entire career.
