Aabesh’s Death Accidental : Post-Mortem Preliminary Reports


Kolkata: Aabesh Dasgupta , the class 12 student died accidentally, on Saturday at Sunny Park apartments in Balluguange as per the preliminary reports of the post-mortem.

A post-mortem was conducted on Aabesh’s body for atleast 3 hours on Sunday evening in the presence of officials from the homicide department and other officials. The preliminary reports suggest that Aabesh sufferes a deep cut in his left armpit and had lacerations on his left palm and left leg. The armpit injury that cut through the axillary artery caused his death, says cops. Based on interrogation of the teenagers present and preliminary findings by doctors conducting the post mortem, the cops suspect Aabesh may have died after being impaled by the jagged edges of a broken liquor bottle.

His friends who were interrogated by cops said he had tripped while carrying the bottle under his arm. The bottle had shattered, and he was fatally hurt in the process. The police have started a murder probe based on the complaints made by Aabesh’s mother, Rimjhim Dasgupta.

Aabesh Dasgupta, 17, was found bleeding at the parking lot of the posh South Kolkata apartment complex where eminent author Amit Chaudhari lives Aabesh had been in the group that had celebrated Mr Chaudhari’s daughter’s birthday.
