Jumbos Mowed 4 To Death In Burdwan

Burdwan: 4 people died after a herd of elephants attacked them. Narayan Chandra Maji, Annakali Ray, Prakash Garai and Sheikh Siraj lost their lives in this incident. They all belong to Burdwan district.

The first two hail from Bhatar police station area’s Nasik village. When they went for toilet, they were attacked by the herd of jumbos. Moreover, a man named Prakash Garai was also attacked, when he was coming from Monteshwar towards Bhatar. Prakash was a resident of Monteshwar’s Baghashan.

According to sources in the administration, forest department officials have already arrived in the spot to control the herd of elephants. It has been ordered to use tranquilizer.
