Here are some simple steps through which you can clean your lungs out of the toxic nicotine.

Avoid eating dairy products.

A cup of herbal green tea before bed helps to release toxins in the intestine. Do not put extra load on your lungs during the purification process.

Take a glass of warm water and add quarter cup of lemon juice and drink it before starting your day. One can also opt for a glass of pineapple or cranberry juice instead of lemon juice.

Drink Carrot Juice

Drink a glass of carrot juice between breakfast and lunch. This will alkalise your body for the detoxification process.

Have Potassium rich foods

Have potassium rich foods or drinks to clean your lungs. Oranges, Chikoo, banana, sweet potato, carrots, tomatoes, spinach, apricots, figs, dates and berries are all rich in potassium.

Ginger

Ginger helps unclogging the respiratory tract and eliminates toxins from the lungs. The best way to consume ginger is to chew it raw or having ginger tea.

Have pineapple juice

Drink pineapple juice before going to bed. It fights infection causing bacteria in the lungs.

Yoga

Practice deep breathing for half an hour daily. It will flush out impurities from the lungs.

Quit Smoking

The best step to save your lungs is by quitting smoke. Once you have done that you have less risk of having lung infections and lung cancer.
