8 Year Old Boy Becomes Police Commissioner for a Day


Hyderabad: Suffering from Thalassemia, Madipalli Roop Aurouna had expressed the wish to become a police commissioner for a day to an NGO Make- A-Wish Foundation. The NGO then contacted the Hyderabad Police with the little boy’s wish and on Tuesday, the eight year old got to spend a day working as commissioner.

Son of a school teacher Roop needs blood transfusion after every 20-25days but on Tuesday the eight-year-old was happily performing his duties as the police commissioner. According to sources, the little boy signed and approved pending leaves of officials in the department.

The NGO grants wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions to enrich their experience with hope, strength and joy. Roop also addressed the media and stated that he wants to curb the crime rate in the city maintain law and order in the state.

Roop needs constant monitoring, has to eat the right medicines and follow a strict diet to keep a check on the iron level of his blood- which can affect his other vital organs if it increase
