New Delhi: Yuvraj Singh attracted the highest bid for any player at the IPL 2015 auction.
Delhi Daredevils had to shell out a whopping $3.31 million to secure the services of Yuvi.
Unfortunately for DD, the left-hander could only manage 248 runs with 2 fifties in 14 matches at an average of 19.07 and a strike rate of 118.09.
The Delhi franchise ended the tournament on 7th spot with 11 points from 14 matches, having paid Yuvraj $13,347 for every run scored.
Despite not making to India’s World Cup squad, the 33-year-old attracted the highest bid in the history of the IPL during the auction in February.
After being criticized for his poor show despite the huge price tag, Yuvraj hit back at his detractors stating he had not asked for the money that was paid by the team for him.
