Srinagar: Pakistan violated ceasefire in Nowshera sector of Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday.
Schools have been closed due to heavy shelling. “71 schools closed due to heavy shelling in Lam area of Nowshera. Measures are being taken for safety of people,” Rajouri District Commissioner Shahid Choudhary said.
On Wednesday, Pakistan violated ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district.
On January 30, Pakistan initiated unprovoked firing in Nowshera sector. Areas of Manpur, Danaka, Ganya Rajouri’s Nowshera sector were affected by the ceasefire violation.
