2015 is a year of celebrity weddings – some of the weddings were big fat.

1. Kush Sinha and Tarun Agarwal:
Actor and politician Shatrugan Sinha’s son Kussh tied the knot with Taruna Agarwal, daughter of a UK based businessman on January 18th at Taj Lands End. The Agarwals and Sinhas booked over 150 rooms at the hotel, where the extended families and guests checked-in for 2 or 3 days. The Wedding Planners Dreamz Kraft and bride’s sister Shruti coordinated the events working closely with the hotel which is one of the most popular wedding venues for B-town. One of the highlights of the two day celebrations was the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who attended the wedding ceremony. The Reception was hosted by the Sinhas the next day at another five-star hotel in Santacruz and was graced by top Bollywood stars and politicians. Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Rishi Kapoor, Sunny Deol, Rekha, Jaya Prada, Kajol, Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure, Mohammad Azharuddin, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Praful Patel, David Dhawan and Subhash Ghai among others were present.
2. Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Khemu:
While their wedding was a private affair, the celebrations included everything that forms part of any big fat Indian wedding. The family-only function was followed by a reception party hosted by the Khans, which saw the likes of Malaika Arora Khan, Neha Dhupia, Karisma Kapoor and Konkona Sen Sharma. Soha’s brother Saif Ali Khan and sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor played host.
3. Tulsi Kumar and Hitesh Ralhan:
T-Series owner Bhushan Kumar’s sister Tulsi’s wedding celebrations crossed state boundaries. Tulsi’s sangeet was organized in Delhi, her wedding reception was in Mumbai. Bollywood creme de la creme – Sridevi, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Bipasha Basu, Jacqueline Fernandez and others – attended in their finest wedding finery.
4. Suresh Raina and Priyanka Chaudhary:
Cricketer Suresh Raina’s wedding was understandably packed with his colleagues, led by Virender Sehwag, Dwayne Bravo and Mohit Sharma. Zarine Khan and Anupam Kher represented Bollywood. They were joined by then-ICC President N Srinivasan and top politicians like Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Congressman Jyotiraditya Scindia.
5. Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput:
Actor Shahid Kapoor broke a million hearts when he married Delhi-based girl Mira Rajput in the capital. The wedding ceremony was attended by close friends and family only, but it didn’t stop there. A lavish reception was hosted by the bride’s family and soon after, Shahid held a reception in Mumbai for his filmy friends, which included the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Kangana Ranaut, Shaandaar heroine Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor and many more.
6. Harbhajan Singh and Geeta Basra:
Bhajji and his longtime girlfriend got hitched in a ceremony that was attended by many of the Men in Blue. Sachin Tendulkar was at the wedding in Punjab with his wife Anjali. At the reception in New Delhi, Harbhajan was joined by MS Dhoni and family, Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble, Ravi Shastri, Virender Sehwag, Virat Kohli and others. The guests of honour for the evening were Prime Minister Narendra Modi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. In Mumbai, the Ambanis hosted a party for Harbhajan and Geeta, which was attended by Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, Sushmita Sen and Sridevi.
7. Arathi Pillai and Aditya Vishnu:
A venue sprawled across eight acres, 30,000 guests from 42 countries, performances by celebrities — Kerala witnessed a glittering extravaganza as the daughter of state-born business tycoon Ravi Pillai, Arathi, weds Kochi-based doctor Aditya Vishnu in Kollam. Pillai, the chairman of R P Group of Companies, reportedly spent Rs 50 crore on the wedding, which was attended by CEOs of international companies, West Asian royals, politicians and socio-cultural leaders. The guests included Bahrain royal family member Sheikh Khalifa Bin Daij Al Khalifa, Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalid of the Qatar royal family, Essam Abdulla of the Saudi royal family, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and film star Mohanlal. Senior executives of Japan Gas Corporation, Chiyode Corporation and Samsung were also present.
