7-8 coaches of Muri Express derails in UP

Lucknow:7- 8 coaches of Muri Express derailed in Uttar Pradesh’s Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday afternoon. As per the sources, the train no 18109 from Rourkela in Odisha to Jammu Tawi derailed 3 kilometres from Sirathu railway station at around 2 pm. Sirathu station falls in the Allahabad-Kanpur central section of the busy Delhi-Howrah route.

Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen at least one dead body on the spot. As the railway administration is yet to reach the accident spot in strength, local villagers from nearby areas are at the forefront of rescue efforts.
