Kolkata: West Bengal Education minister Partha Chatterjee clarified on Wednesday that low attendance of teachers in government schools would not be tolerated. He was speaking to the reporters while attending a school function in Howrah.
He told that no one with attendance below sixty percent would be spared. He added that some people went to his house with complaints of low attendance of teachers. He had assured them that no mercy would be shown to the teachers with low attendance.
“I had told the authority to review the attendance of teachers who are irregular and warn the. But if anyone if found with attendance below 60% he would not be spared,” Education minister told reporters.
He also said that we are working hard to provide excellent facilities and improve the infrastructure in schools. “We are determined to provide drinking water, bathroom. laboratory, librarysitting chairs and benches,” said the minister.
