6 Policemen Injured In Scuffle With Army Personnel In J&K’s Ganderbal

Srinagar: Six policemen were injured in a scuffle with army personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

The incident took place on Saturday at around 10.30 p.m when a few army personnel were returning from Amarnath Yatra. They were stopped at the Gund Police Station. Later an argument took place between the two sides over a checkpoint. The scuffle lead to minor injuries sustained by both army and police personnel.

A case has been registered by the police and senior army and police officials are investigating the matter.

On Saturday, Rifleman Jayadrath Singh was killed in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Sunderbani sector of Jammu and Kashmir on Friday evening.

The Pakistan Army initiated unprovoked firing on Indian Army posts in Sunderbani sector at around 6:00 p.m.
