6.2 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Southwest Of Samoa


Apia: A 6.2 magnitude earthquake has struck off the Samoa islands, Geoscience Australia reported, adding that the epicenter of the quake is about 200km from Apia, the capital and largest city of the island country.

According to the most recent USGS estimate, the magnitude of the quake is 5.8 and it took place just 96km from the town of Hihifo in Tonga.
