5 B’Desh Infiltrators Were Arrested From Howrah Station

Howrah: Five Bangladeshi infiltrators were arrested from Howrah station On Wednesday.Their motive was to enter India illegally ans stay here for few months. But, the Howrah police foiled their motive and detained all the five persons. The accused are – Mohammed Kausar, Lion Sheikh, Kusum, Parul Begum and Saiba Khatun.

Police said that all these accused are the residents of Bagherhat district of Bangladesh. The Howrah Court has ordered fourteen days police custody for them after they were produced in court.

It has been learned that on this day, at around 11pm, the GRP staff who were on duty at platform number 22 of Howrah station noticed two men and three women walking around the platform purposelessly. Suspecting them the GRP questioned and detained them. The GRP found inconsistency in their behaviour and so handed over them to the Howrah police. After the interrogation by the Howrah police it was cleared that they have come from Bangladesh and entered India hoping to get jobs.

Even in the last three months they worked in Bangalore. This time they came to Howrah to return Bangladesh. The five Bangladeshi citizens were failed to show any credentials to the police. The accused were mostly between the age group of 25 to 35 years. It should be noted that Howrah City Police detained 16 Bangladeshi infiltrators from Howrah station a few days ago.
