5.6-magnitude quake hits Afghanistan


Kabul: An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted South of Jarm, Afghanistan at 08.05 p.m. on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said. No immediate reports of damage or casualty has been received yet.

The epicenter, with a depth of 242.94 km, was initially determined to be at 36.6093 degrees north latitude and 70.886 degrees east longitude.
