Dehradun: All the four suspects detained from Haridwar have been sent to 15 days police custody, court said on Wednesday. During the ongoing Ardh-Kumbh at Haridwar, four suspected terrorists were reportedly arrested from Mangalaur area on the outskirts on the district.
The presence of four has set alarm bells ringing in the district as lakhs of devotees are turning up each day to bath in Ganga river each day during Ardh-Kumbh. The four are said to be arrested by a Special Cell of Delhi police. Sources have not ruled out the possibilities of Pathankot link with the matter.
While some senior police officers remained tight-lipped over the issue, others did not take the telephone call. Sources maintained that one of the four is Ikhlakh, while the identity of other three is yet to be ascertained.
