4 Suspected Terrorists Flee From Bhubaneswar Hotel

Bhubaneswar: Four men, suspected to be terrorists, fled from a hotel in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar, when the hotel authorities asked for their identification, sources said.

Police sources said they had a tip-off regarding four foreign nationals who were staying in a hotel. But the men fled the place, a budget hotel near the railway station minutes before the police conducted the raid.

The men, the sources said, had come in a car with Delhi registration. Unconfirmed reports said the registration number was fake. There is a nationwide high alert on the occasion of the Republic Day after security agencies claimed there was a “very real” threat.

Over the weekend, 14 suspected ISIS affiliates and sympathisers were arrested from different parts of the country. The chief guest for this year’s Republic Day was Francois Hollande, the president of France, where ISIS carried out devastating terror attacks last year.
