Kolkata: It is a ritual in the assembly to chair a Cabinet Meeting prior to the submission of the budget. The particular Cabinet Meeting on Friday was flooded with announcements in keeping in mind the welfare of the people. It is learnt that a new municipality will be introduced by merging the areas of Rajarhat, Manishbathan, Bidhannagar and Gopalpur. The announcement is sure to bring some sort of relief to the residents of that area.
Apart from the introduction of new municipalities, the state government has also planned of a 450 crore scheme to control the flood in the major flood-hit areas of West Bengal. Besides these issues, the government has also looked into the unemployment factor of the state. According to reports, 4000 new posts will be laid before to the public to join the ranks. The announcements are sure to bring some sort of comfort to the common people of Bengal.
