Barrackpore: A pool carrying two school students and a guardian met with an accident after it lost it’s control and crash with a van carrying gas cylinders in Barrackpore-Kalyani highway on Monday. The incident took place in Jafarpur Firing Range. Two students including the guardian and the driver received injury.One of the student Ahitangik Debnath. age 6 years is critical.
According to the eye witnesses, the speeding pool car was coming from Shyamnagar carrying school students of a private English medium school in Barrackpore. Reaching the Barrackpore-Kalyani highway it lost it’s control and hit a gas cylinder laden van. In the incident both the school kids of nursery class, their guardian and the driver were injured.
The injured were sent to Barrackpore BNP Bose sub-divisional hospital. One of the student who was critically injured underwent a surgery. Meanwhile, the Titagarh police has already started investigating the incident.
Priyanka Debnath, the injured guardian and the mother of Ahitangik Debnath, “The car was in full speed, I told the driver to drive slow but he didn’t listen. We were only nine people inside that car. Seven kids, drivers and me. Suddenly the car lost it’s speed and hit a gas cylinder laden van. And we all were injured. My son’s condition is very critical. “
