4 CISF personnel arrested in connection with Airport clash


Thiruvananthapuram: Four Central Industrial Security Force personnel were arrested by Kerala Police in connection with the destruction of airport property during June 10 clash at Karipur. Also cases have been registered against 100 CISF personnel in connection with the clashes at Karipur airport between the CISF personnel and the Airport Authority of India staff which resulted in the death of a jawan on June 10.

Case has also been registered against a CISF Sub-Inspector named SS Choudhary, from whose gun the accidental bullet fired caused the jawan’s death. The cases have been registered on the basis of a complaint by the Airport Authority of India.

According to Police, cases have been registered under sections 304, 323 and 324 against Choudhury. Police have also arrested nine AAI officials who were produced before court and remanded to Judicial custody till June 27.
