Addis Ababa: 38 people died and 10 other got injured after a bus fell off a cliff in Ethiopia on Tuesday.
The accident occurred in Legambo district of Amhara in Ethiopia when the bus carrying 48 people was en route to a city named Dessie, Xinhua quoted Legambo district government communication affairs office as saying. Those injured are receiving treatment in the nearby health centres.
“A total of 38 people, (28 male, and 10 female) were killed in the accident,” state-affiliated Fana Broadcast Corporate said of the crash in the Legambo district of the regional state of Amhara, citing local authorities.
Ten passengers survived but suffered “serious and minor injuries” in the accident, which took place between the towns of Dessie and Mekane Selam, Fana reported.
