3 Detained With 34 Different ATM Cards In Odhisa


Bhubaneswar: Two men and a woman were thrashed by a mob at Odisha’s Baripada after the trio snatched away a person’s ATM card on the pretext of helping him to withdraw money at State Bank of India (SBI) ATM. The man protested and raised an alarm post which they handed him another ATM card.

The police arrived on the spot and apprehended the miscreants and brought them to the Baripada police station. 34 ATM cards have been impounded from the malefactors.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening in the SBI ATM near NH 18 of Baripada town. The plunderers arrived in a car and entered the ATM kiosk where they saw a customer withdrawing cash.

They snatched away his ATM after which he raised an objection and started shouting. Hearing the chaos crowd gathered the spot after which they thrashed the miscreants.

The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Baripada stated that investigation is going on. Details of the plunderers are yet to be disclosed.
