3 Dead & 22 Injured After Situation Turns Furious Over Panchayat Board In Amdanga


Barrackpore: After the verdict Supreme Court on West Bengal Panchayat Election, the board formation is on high priority. But in a clash between Trinamool and CPM, 3 persons have been dead and at least 22 person have been injured.

Taraberia gram panchayat of Amdanga police station is scheduled to form a board on Wednesday. So the situation was already agitated. But the situation turned fierce as continuous bombing in Bahisgachi has tensed the situation on Tuesday night.

A group of goons have disconnected the transfo rmer wire connection and turned off the light in Amdanga. Police has been hindered from entering the place. The former ruling party and the present ruling party tussle gradually takes a shape of turmoil with continuous bombing and bullet exchanging.

Reportedly name who have lost their lives in the clash are Nasir Halder of 22 and Kuddush Ali Gayen who was 32 years old, involved with Trinamool. The third one Muzaffar Piyadad involved with CPM also lost his life.

Those who have been injured are admitted in Barrackpore Mahakuma Hospital and Barasat District Hospital. North 24 pargana TMC’s district president Jyotipriya Mallick went to see the party workers who have been injured badly.

The TMC MLA of Amdanga Rafikur Rahman alleged that, CPM & BJP jointly attacked the ruling party so the two persons have been injured. Oppositions directly blamed the ruling party in the board formation session.

Huge police have been deployed in the area. The board formation process will pursue or not, that’s standing before an uncertain situation.
