3-Day Bus Drought From Monday

Kolkata: The private bus owners have announced a partial bus strike from Monday onwards in protest against the hike in diesel but no increase of bus fares. On behalf of the bus syndicates, it was announced on Thursday that the buses will be available from Monday for only 3 days and only during the office hours.

The owners said that they are facing difficulty as the diesel prices have been increased several times recently. Hence, to reduce their expenditure, this is being done.

However, with such a decision the daily commuters are expected to face difficulty. If the time is reduced to three days and only during office hours, then the pressure in the number of passengers will increase too. Questions are being raised as to how will people reach their destinations after the office time gets over.
