250 Kg Banned Firecrackers Recovered From Howrah


Howrah: Batra police of Howrah has recovered two hundred and fifty kilogram banned firecrackers on Sunday night from Hem Chakraborty Lane. There were fifty two kind of items in that lot.

Police said that, they were selling all the banned firecrackers secretly. Acting on a tip-off, police on Sunday night raided in a godown of Debashish Das. The person was running a trade behind the bar. Police has arrested Debashish Das.

Recently, the Supreme Court of India has verdicted prohibition on the use of firecrackers to pull control over pollution level in and around Delhi. Delhi people will celebrate Deepavali without any firecrackers as the order has been enacted in Delhi. Central Pollution Control Board has welcomed the decision.

West Bengal also under vigilance on this issue. So firecrackers has been prohibited in all the districts of Bengal. Administration active on this issue.
