Srirampur: 23 Students who were taken in police custody yesterday are unable to sit for their Madhyamik Board Exams due to negligence of their school. The 23 Students of Hooghly’s Srirampur’s private Hindi medium school at Lal Bahadur Shastri road were not provided with Admit card.

According to School Education Department, the registration for exams was not filled up properly. Hence the trouble. According to local sources, the school is not affiliated. They are letting students appear for board exams through other schools. But this year they were unable to do that.

The local councilor Rajesh Singh booked a car and took the ill fated students to Mamata’s office in kalighat. According to him, if the school has not fulfilled his responsibilities, what more can we do?
