New Delhi: Impressed with India’s massive operation of bringing back its citizens from the war torn Yemen, 23 courtries have sought help from India to evacuate their citizens from Yemen.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Monday tweeted: “Twenty three countries have requested India to evacuate their citizens from Yemen.”
The External Affairs Minister has already announced that all Indian nations would be evacuated from the strategically placed country in the Middle East.
The external Affairs Ministry has already confirmed that 488 Indians had been evacuated from Sanna while 182 were rescued from Ash Shihr.
Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said paised the Indian Navy for its great Job in ensuring the safe passage to Indians from Yemen, where a civil war has broken out. Parrikar said that so far 3000 Indians and some foreigners have been evacuated in desperate situation.
