New Delhi: Over 21 Kerala youths who were brainwashed to get inducted into ISIS are feared killed in the US’s non nuclear bomb attack on Afghanistan’s Nangarhar late on Thursday.

The Pentagon confirmed that the US dropped GBU-43 bomb, the largest non-nuclear weapon in its arsenal, on the ISIS tunnel in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.

Indian intelligence agencies said that the last known location of Indian ISIS recruits was Nangarhar, the region where the US military dropped its ‘Mother Of All Bombs’ (MOAB) targeting terror tunnels.

General John Nicholson, the head of US and international forces in Afghanistan, said that the bomb was used against caves and bunkers housing fighters of the Islamic State in Afghanistan, also known as ISIS-K. “This is the right munition to reduce these obstacles and maintain the momentum of our offensive against ISIS-K”, Nicholson said in a statement.
