Cairo: 21 people were killed in the north of Nile river in Cairo when a Cargo ship hit a party boat on Wednesday night. At least five people were rescued from the river and six people have been reported to be still missing. The rescue teams are still conducting the search operation which is being hampered due to darkness.
The group was celebrating the engagement of a couple when the ship hit the boat. At least two children have also been reported to have been killed in the incident, although it could not be made out whether the couple was among the dead or not.
The captain of the cargo ship and his deputy has been arrested after the accident and search is still on to locate the missing.
