Washington: Union minister Sushma Swaraj today tweeted that 200 Indian students are trapped in Houston, one of the biggest cities in the US, which is witnessing devastating floods. In a series of tweets, the foreign minister said every effort is being made to rescue them.

Hurricane Harvey was the most powerful hurricane to hit Texas in more than 50 years. The region has seen a year’s worth of rain in just one week.
Two people have already died in the resulting floods and the toll is expected to rise as the storm triggers additional tidal surges and tornadoes.
