2 Wanted Maoist Held in Chhattisgarh


Raipur: Two wanted Naxals were arrested on Wednesday in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma district, police said.

Kawasi Hinga (40) and Madvi Mada (22) were nabbed in Bater village under the Konta police station limits, Sukma Additional Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh told.

A joint squad of Central Reserve Police Force’s and the district police was out on a search operation in Konta area, about 500 km from Raipur, when it got a tip-off about the duo.

Hinga and Mada are accused of being involved in several incidents loot, arson and attack on police in the area, the ASP said.
