Bankura: A dreadful accident took place after two trucks collided face-to-face on Tuesday morning at Haatashuria crossing in Bankura. District of West Bengal. The driver of one truck died on the spot. His name was Tara.
Local sources said,in the early hour of Tuesday a truck loaded with sponge iron was parked near the Haatashuria road of Bankura- Durgapur highway. Meanwhile, another truck loaded with manganese coming from Bankura hit the parked truck. The driver of the truck that was carrying manganese died at the spot and the helper is severely injured.
Immediately, local police reached the spot, they recovered the dead body of the driver and sent it for autopsy at Bankura Medical College & Hospital. The police also recovered the injured helper of the truck and send him for treatment in the same hospital.
According to the preliminary investigation police estimates, that the driver of the manganese-laden truck would have possibly fallen asleep resulting in accident. Although the police have been investigating the exact reason behind the accident.The driver of the other sponge iron laden truck said that he had parked his truck and went for some work near the road.Getting a huge noise of the accident he rushed to the spot and saw the shocking accident.When he went near to recover the driver and the helper of the truck he saw the driver was dead. Hence he informed the local police.
