Kolkata: BJP general secretary Sayantan Basu claimed on Monday that two of their workers died as a result of shooting by the police in Purulia during the setting-up of Panchayat. Basu has rejected claims by TMC president Shantiram Mahato who claimed that it was unknown who shot whom in which two BJP workers died.
Shantirambabu told that we will investigate whether BJP fired their own workers or not. However, police denied BJP’s allegations. According to sources, district police told Nabanna that a body was recovered from the village. But the police did not fire anyone. However, a police official said that five people were shot in Purulia.
To disperse the violent mob, Two rounds of bullets were shot in air. Tear gas cells have also been torn. But there was no incident of firing on the villagers. Now the question has been raised that how they killed? According to the police, the body was sent to the hospital for autopsy. Until the autopsy report comes, nothing can be said about this.
Sayantan Basu claimed, “The place is at Ghagra area of Raghunathpur. One BJp worker Narayan Doam was shot dead and another BJP worker was also. ”
The BJP general secretary said that Trinamool did not allow the BJP to enter Raghunathpur Panchayat.
