Barrackpore: Political turmoil is already heat up in West Bengal over BJP’s Ratha Yatra. On Thursday, BJP’s North 24 Parganas Mahila Morcha procession came out in support of the BJP’s rath yatra. The procession was stopped by the Titagarh Police. In all, the situation remained hot throughout the day in Titagarh over this incident.
There was a meeting of the BJP Women’s wing to save the democracy on Thursday. During the procession outside the meeting, Titagarh Police held few Mohila morcha supporters.
BJP’s Barrackpore Organizing District President Ahindra Nath Basu complained that, “Trinamool Congress is trying to prevent BJP by using the police. In this way BJP can not be prevented. “In this context, the leader of the Titagarh municipal council, Trinamool Congress leader Prashant Chowdhury said,” We do not need to do all this work. With the permission of the police, all the political parties have done meeting. I have heard that there was no permission for their program. ”
Police sources said that the arrested women workers were brought to Barrackpore Women Police Station. After that they were released on bail. Titagarh police said that no permission was taken on behalf of BJP workers. The procession was blocked for the sake of maintaining law and order in area and maintaining peace in the area.
