Kolkata: Under the initiative of West Bengal Bangla Academy, literature festival and little magazine fair will start from Friday. This fair will start from January 11 and end on January 15 at Salt Lake’s Rabindra-Okakura Bhawan.
The fair will be inaugurated by state education minister Partha Chatterjee on January 11. State Information, Culture and tourism minister Indranil Sen will also be present.
The organisers have informed through a press release that this year, in the little magazine fair, 300 little magazine stalls will be present. 300 poets, literates and authors will take part in story-telling.
To give respect to senior writer and literates, talented writers of the new generation, the academy will give memorial honours to 14 people.
A memorial service has been organised to pay tribute to late poet Nirendranath Chakraborty. At that programme, it will be reminisced by Nabanita Deb Sen, Alok Ranjan Dasgupta, Goutam Basu and others.
Two special buses have been arranged to come at the fair ground.
