New Delhi: Twelve live cartridges found in the washroom of the multilevel parking of Terminal 3 of Delhi airport sparked a massive security scare today afternoon.

Sources say there were 8 cartridges that were found near the washroom whereas the remaining 4 were strewn at a little distance. Sources also tell India Today all of them were 0.38 bore cartridges that are generally used for revolvers. Since there was no CCTV right next to the washroom Delhi Police is scanning the entry and exit CCTV of the parking.
Cops suspect a passenger who was about to board a flight might have tried to dispose off the cartridges which could have been in his baggage. Meanwhile Delhi Police has registered an FIR. Cops suspect someone who entered the parking bay between 2 and 3.30 pm could have placed the cartridges.
