105 candidates declared qualified by UPSC


New Delhi: 105 candidates, who were put on a reserve list, have been declared qualified for the civil services examination 2013 by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).

A total of 1,122 were declared qualified by the authorized commission for the 2013 examination for the appointment to IAS, IFS, IPS and other central services, as against 1,228 vacancies, results of which were declared in June last year.

As sought by the Department of Personnel and Training, the Commission at present has recommended 105 candidates- 89 belonging to the General category and 16 OBCs.

Of the 1,122 successful candidates, 517 were of General category, 326 OBCs, 187 Scheduled Caste and 92 Scheduled Tribe.

There were 1,228 advertised vacancies-622 General, 326 OBCs, 188 SC and 92 ST for civil services examination, 2013.
